Epsom salt baths have a long list of amazing health benefits and are an excellent way to destress and detoxify the whole body.

An Epsom salt bath can help to relieve pain and muscle cramps, relieve inflammation (making it beneficial in the treatment of sore muscles),  help ease bronchial asthma, and migraine headaches.

They are a natural source of magnesium, which many of us are deficient in. Magnesium is the second most abundant element in human cells and the fourth most important positively charged ion in the body. It helps the body regulate over 325 enzymes and plays an important role in organizing many bodily functions, like muscle control, electrical impulses, energy production and the elimination of harmful toxins.

Zeolite is a negatively charged volcanic ash that is natural! When micronised into smaller more attractive and efficient particles it reveals small 'honeycomb cages' that trap heavy metals and toxins and carry them safely away. Zeolite removes the pollution by deeply cleansing, purifying and detoxifying your skin, unclogging and refining your pores and eliminating free radicals.

Calendula has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, astringent, antifungal, antiviral, and immunostimulant properties making it useful for disinfecting and treating minor wounds, conjunctivitis, cuts, scrapes, chapped or chafed skin, bruises, burns, athlete's foot, acne, yeast infections, bee stings, diaper rashes, and other minor irritations and infections of the skin. Plus, it stimulates the production of collagen at wound sites to help minimize scarring and assist with stretch marks.

Lemongrass oil helps tone the muscles and tissue, relieves muscle pains by making the muscle more supple. It also helps with correcting poor circulation. The addition of patchouli essential oil helps to reduce inflammation and alleviate stress.

How long do I bath for ? You will need at least 40 minutes to soak in the tub. Within the first 20 minutes of treatment the salts pull toxins out of your body through the skin. The second 20 minutes allows for the absorption of minerals to occur.

How much Epsom Salt Bath mix do I put in the bath ? Use ½ to 1 cup for each bath. Always follow your bath with a drink of water as you can feel a little dehydrated afterwards.

Please note that you should not take Epsom salt baths if you are pregnant, have exposed cuts or burns on your skin, or are severely dehydrated.
